Agra: A woman allegedly killed her husband and disappeared with valuables worth lakhs on Tuesday, police said.

Police identified the deceased as Nirmal Singh, 45, a software engineer, working in Delhi, while his disabled son Bharat Singh, around 14, survived to tell the story.
The woman was identified as Tara, of Naini Tal. A resident of Avas Vikas colony, Nirmal Singh, after a divorce from his first wife, married Tara four years ago.
On Monday night, she drugged her husband and son with an overdose of sleeping tablets in milk and allegedly strangled Nirmal Singh to death, while thinking Bharat was already dead.
When Bharat recovered consciousness on Tuesday afternoon, he raised an alarm, and neighbours hurried to his aid and were shocked to see Nirmal Singh dead.
