A Facebook invite posted by a Mexican man, inviting people for his 15-year-old daughter’s birthday party, has gone completely viral. Over 1 million have ‘accepted’ the invite.
According to a report in mirror.co.uk, Crescencio Ibarra put up a video to inviting people to his daughter Rubi's 'quinceanera' -- traditionally seen as a coming-of-age birthday for girls in Latino countries.
"Hello, how are you? We invite you this 26 of December to the 15th birthday party of our daughter, Rubi Ibarra Garcia," he said, adding, "hereby everyone is cordially invited."

The mirror.co.uk added that since the invitation was open to public on Facebook, people actually began sharing it. As per the report, over 1.2 million people have said that they will 'attend' the bash to be held in a village named La Joya.
To add to the bizarre situation, memes are being put up on Twitter while an airline is said to be offering 30 % discount to the nearest airport with the tagline: "Are you going to Rubi’s party?"
When Crescencio was asked about the ‘sensational’ response, he told a TV station: "We wanted to invite the people from the area, that’s all," mirror.co.uk reported.
The report went on to say that the Red Cross has been alerted, and that cops will be deployed on Boxing Day to prevent commotion.
