The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) recently announced the dates for class 10th and class 12th. The CBSE board exams this year will be held between February 15 and April 10. The central board has also released the admit cards for the students for their 10th and 12th board exams 2024.

Along with this, CBSE has also started a free of cost pre-exam psychological counselling facility for students and parents.

The board has informed that the students and schools can download the admit cards from the CBSE official website, available here. It is mandatory for the students to carry their admit cards along with them on the day of their exams, as the admit card contains student details, roll number and examination centre with reporting time. Failing to carry their admit card may result in students not being allowed into the examination centre.

The CBSE class 10 board exams are scheduled to begin on February 15 and will end on March 13. While, the Class 12 board exams will also commence on February 15 but will end on April 2. Students can visit the CBSE website https://www.cbse.gov.in/ for full exam date sheet and more details.

Pre-exam psychological counselling

To help students prepare for exams stress-free, the CBSE is also providing pre-exam psychological counselling facility to students and parents starting from January 1, 2024, which is available for students free of cost.

In its information statement, CBSE has mentioned that free of cost IVRS facility is available 24x7 for students and parents on Board’s toll free number 1800-11-8004. Through this, information and suggestions about stress-free preparation for examinations, time and stress management, Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs), important contact details of CBSE offices, can be accessed in Hindi and English.

Bilingual podcasts on the same subjects can also be listened to on the CBSE official website www.cbse.gov.in

Tele-counselling is a voluntary and free of cost service, which will beavailable from 9:30 am to 5:30 pm from Monday to Saturday. This year, a total of 65 Principals, trained counsellors, and special educators from CBSE affiliated government and private schools and psychologists are providing this facility, as per the CBSE information statement.
