Chilean rescuers moved at a rapid pace to free 33 men trapped half a mile below the earth's surface for more than two monthsRescuers freed Richard Reinald Villarroel Godoy, the 28th miner as family members and hundreds of international media held vigil.
The 11-year-old sister of Villarroel began crying even before her elder brother emerged from the shaft.
Waving a flag that read "Gracias Chile," the little girl led the group in the song that has been sung to each rescued miner, "Chi-chi-chi,el-el-e!"
Nor could Villarroel's mother contain her sobs as she hugged him.
Only five miners are left to be rescued.
