Beijing: An 7.8-magnitude earthquake struck the sea off north coast of Chile on Thursday, just a day after a deadly 8.2 magnitude quake hit the country.

The tremor was recorded at 10.43 am on Thursday (Beijing Time), Xinhua quoted the China Earthquake Networks Center as saying.
The tsunami early warning center said the earthquake is likely to cause tsunami in the areas near the epicenter.
