At least eight persons were killed in a suicide blast in northwestern Pakistan's Peshawar city yesterday

At least eight persons were killed in a suicide blast in northwestern Pakistan's Peshawar city yesterday.

The blast occurred in Badhber Area of Peshawar, capital city of the North West Frontier Province, when a suicide bomber blew himself up near a police check post, killing eight persons, including seven policemen.

Police have cordoned off the area while the rescue efforts are underway. The injured have been shifted to hospital for treatment.
