Given the fanfare that surrounded the original Michael Jackson/Lionel Richie charity single, released nearly
25 years ago, this new version is poised for great commercial success just in time to help another country in need -- Haiti.

Star power

Other stars scheduled to perform include Akon, Jason Mraz, Bono, Wyclef Jean, Carlos Santana, Enrique Iglesias, Usher, Toni Braxton and Lady Gaga. The recording session will be held at the historic A&M complex in Hollywood which is where the original song was recorded.
