The two men stopped the youngster and led him by the arm from the Arndale Centre in Manchester and took him into the packed Debenhams store, reports said today.
The men travelled in a lift upstairs before pushing the boy into a public toilet, where he was attacked by one of the men.
Greater Manchester Police issued CCTV images Tuesday night of the two suspects -- one Asian man, who is suspected of the rape and one white man.
The victim, said to be "absolutely devastated", has been interviewed by specially trained detectives and taken to hospital.
Police said they were confident that shoppers may have seen the offenders either before or after the incident.
