Queen Sofia "blanched" at Batali's vocabulary and other celebrity guests, including singer Julio Iglesias and theu00a0 Florida governor were equally shocked.
Singer Gloria Estefan started giggling.
Batali is well known in Spain after starring in a TV series with Gwyneth Paltrow about Spanish cooking.

King Juan has himself giv-en diplomatic offence. Bored with a rant by Hugo Chavez at a summit in 2007, he told the Venezuelan President, "Why don't you shut up?" and stormed off.
