Wannabe model Roland Bunce romped through the public vote in a poll by the high street chain Next. His popularity surged after his appearance drew voters' attention last month, Daily Mail reported.
The chain had launched the competition to find a future catwalk star and invited members of the public to vote for their favourite contestant.
He has since marched to victory in the poll after beating 5,000 other contestants.
The 24-year-old is now one of the 250 finalists to be whittled down to 50 by the judges for the grand final of the Make Me A Model competition July 30.
The computer engineer from Belfast, having notched 66,000 votes to the 89 for the stunning blonde in second place, will compete in the competition's final round before a judging panel of experts.
