A British couple picked all six numbers correctly on the December 23 lotto lucky draw, only to find out that the entry had not gone through on the Internet
London: When a Lancashire-based couple picked all the winning Lotto numbers for a £35 million lotto jackpot, their happiness knew no bounds. However, Edwina and David Nylan were devastated when they were told that they weren't entitled to their whopping winnings, because their payment wasn't registered due to a technical glitch.

"It was as if all our dreams had come true at once when we realised we had all six numbers. We imagined being able to treat our family and live an amazing lifestyle with new cars, houses and holidays but it was all over in a flash," Edwina said.
A glitch in the British Lotto's mobile app caused Edwina and David Nylan to miss out on a £35 million-jackpot by Camelot.
The couple, who recently celebrated their 36th wedding anniversary, had thought that it would be a year to remember. The couple used to play the game every week. On December 23, David called Edwina at work to inform that they had won the multi-million winning amount this week.
Edwina told that despite she and David topping up £20 before the 7.30 pm deadline, the payment wasn't processed until after midnight on December 24.
The couple hadn't received any recognition mail from the company. So on calling, the Camelot representative told her that their numbers had been registered as theirs and that it would be seen on the National Lottery system.
"We were told we had insufficient funds in our Lotto account so we topped it up before the draw time. It's not our fault if there is a problem with the system," an angry Edwina said.
