Police in the southwestern state of Baden-Wuerttemberg said the unidentified man crash-landed in the tree late Monday about 30 kilometers east of Stuttgart.
Attempts to bring the man down had to be abandoned because of the risk that the plane and its pilot might be dislodged, police said. He was eventually rescued unharmed yesterday.
