I wanted to catch him alive: Osama hunter

Gary Faulkner, the daring Colorado construction worker who went to Pakistan to capture Osama bin Laden, says his goal was to capture the terror leader alive.

"I want to catch him," the 50-year-old said on a morning talk show today. "I want him alive and bring him into justice."

Faulkner stressed he was not interested in killing the al Qaeda leader, and was not intimidated by the deadly mission he undertook earlier this month.

The ex-con was arrested in Pakistan on June 13 while he attempted to slip into Afghanistan. He told authorities he was hunting for bin Laden, and was armed with a sword, a pistol and a Bible.

Faulkner, who suffers from kidney problems, was later released without charge, and sent back to the United States. He has vowed, however, that he will try again and noted that his was not a one-man mission.

"It's not a me, it's a we," he said, although he didn't want to give specifics as to who was helping him.

"I've had a lot of help and we've been working on this for some time," Faulkner said.
