Exasperated by noise coming from the bar in Vicenza, 413 km from Rome, the man first fired into the air with his rifle. But when the gunshots failed to silence the crowd blowing on the plastic trumpets, the man resorted to ramming his car into the bar several times before fleeing the scene.
He later got admitted at a local hospital for receiving treatment in the psychiatric ward, the Herald Sun reported.
Though there were no injuries among the revellers, the building was partially destroyed.
Vuvuzelas became famous after their buzzing sound caused irritation to many people during the 2010 FIFA World Cup in South Africa.
