Middletons to pay for honeymoon

The bride's parents are pitching in Rs 72 lakh towards the weddingu00a0

Kate Middleton's parents have reportedly paid ufffd100,000 towards their daughter's wedding to Prince William. It is claimed that Carole and Michael Middleton have paid for hotel suites, bridal gowns, bridesmaids' dresses and the maid of honour's outfit as well as the honeymoon, according to British newspaper The Sunday Times. The ufffd97,000 inheritance that was left by Kate's grandfather has reportedly been spent on the Royal Wedding on April 29.

The rooms booked for the Middleton family at The Goring hotel in London for the night before the wedding have reportedly come to more than ufffd20,000. Kate's bridal gowns are thought to have cost at least ufffd30,000, with sister and maid of honour Pippa's dress another adding another ufffd20,000 to the bill. A spokesman for Clarence House told the newspaper, "The Middletons have offered to contribute to the cost of the wedding. How much they contribute is a private matter." Meanwhile, Kate's mother Carole has reportedly refused to wear the dress designed to wear on her daughter's wedding day after a fall-out with the couturier. Carole has apparently accused the designer, Lindka Cierach, of being unaccommodating.

No top hat and tails for 'posh' PM
England Prime Minister David Cameron will be wearing a work suit rather than donning tails for the royal wedding in a major break with tradition. Guests at the wedding have been given the choice of wearing uniform, work suits or a traditional morning suit, which includes a coat with tails. Senior government figures would have traditionally worn tailsu00a0-- the formal black coats that have the front section cut away to leave longer sections at the backu00a0-- on such occasions. However these outfits carry associations with upper class privilege, an image Cameron, educated at Eton and then at Oxford, has worked hard to shed.

Wills-kate rehearsing for balcony kiss
A palace aide said that every detail of the day is getting a dry runu00a0-- even that 1.25 pm balcony kiss!
"It's not the actual kiss that needs rehearsing, I'm sure they know how to do that," the aide says. "However, the angle that they come in at needs to be correct, otherwise they could block the shot and the world will miss out on that momentous moment." Kate (29) and William (28) have been told exactly where to stand and at what angle to lean in at, so it looks just right. Adds a second source, "It sounds crazy, but the balcony is their moment to greet the crowds and receive well-wishes. They don't want to disappoint."
