Avinash Patra, a 21-year-old writer from Orissa's Khariar town yesterday confirmed that he has been invited for the upcoming royal wedding of British Prince William and Kate Middleton on April 29 at Westminster Abbey in UK.
The invitation letter was issued in the name of Queen Elizabeth II, bearing the stamp of the monarch's EIIR cypher. Patra said the invitation is a blessing of Hindu god Lord Krishna, on whom most of his books are based.
"I feel proud about it. As an Indian first and then as a devotee of Lord Krishna." Patra has authored books such as Separation of Godhead and My Dear Sweetheart.
"I have written 12 books on Lord Krishna and Shrimati Radha Rani (Lord Krishna's consort). Two books have already been selected by Queen Elizabeth II and Oxford University Press to inaugurate British Author of the Year 2010," Patra added. The iconic royal wedding will be a lavish affair with anu00a0 attendance of 600 renowned personalities of the world.
Sandip Soparrkar to waltz for wedding
choreographer Sandip Soparrkar will perform at the London reception of Prince William and fiance Kate Middleton. Soparrkar and wife Jesse Randhawa, will perform at the reception. "They received an enquiry about performing at the reception and after discussing the price, it was confirmed that Sandeep and Jesse will perform. The organisers want a combination of Bollywood and English Waltz," said a source.
