Mohammed Tasleem Tahir, 21,who appeared in Southport Magistrate''s Court on the Gold Coast, faces charges of torture, committing acts intended to maim and disfigure, and causing grievous bodily harm over the weekend attack in Surfers Paradise, reports News.com.au.
Court documents revealed that the victim, Catherine Cameron, moved to the Gold Coast six months ago, leaving behind her de facto partner Tahir in South Australia.
