A teacher in Rio Rancho has been sent on paid leave after administering a sex survey to ninth-grade biology students without parental consent
The four-question survey asked students if they were sexually active and whom they had last kissed, offending the parents.

The student handbook and district policies of Rio Rancho say that any type of survey that discusses sexual behaviours must have parental consent.

Rio Rancho School District spokeswoman Kim Vessley said that the district is investigating to determine whether the teacher will be disciplined.

Meanwhile, the teacher will remain on paid leave till the investigation is complete.
