The big-lipped father of Liv Tyler is auctioning items including clothes and guitars in aid of MusiCares MAP Fund, which offers help to musicians recovering from addictions.
Described by Julien's Auctions as "a chance to own a piece of his singular style", highlights include vintage Aerosmith T-shirts, stylish suits, and, yes, even pre-worn boxer shorts (Est: $100 - $200).
There is also an enviable collection of guitars signed by the likes of U2, Paul McCartney, Metallica and David Lee Roth.
Tyler says: "So this is a personal gesture a way for me to literally dive into my closet and give back... even my skivviesu2026 are going up for auction in support of MusiCares."
This is the first time such an extensive collection has been donated by Steven Tyler from his personal wardrobe.
The sale by Julien's Auctions will take place at Hard Rock Cafu00e9, New York, on November 21.
Two pairs of Steven Tyler owned and worn boxer shorts. One pair reads "Light My Fire," with a flame design from the bottom of the shorts against a black background, 100% cotton, size small, made by Briefly Stated.
The accompanying pair of boxers, made by Charles Goodnight, features an all over Pin Up playing card pattern, no size present. Estimate: $100-$200 PIC/Shaan Kokin/Julien's Auctions/Rex Features
