Wills-Kate to see orchid named after Princess Diana

Prince William and Kate Middleton will view an orchid named after Princess Diana during their 10-day tour of the Far East.

The couple will attend an orchid naming ceremony at the Singapore Botanic Gardens where, in a poignant moment, they will look at the flower that Diana herself never got to see.

William’s late mother was meant to visit the bloom but she was killed in a car crash, exactly 15 years ago yesterday, before she could make the trip.
