Cricketers have joined hands in Baroda in their quest to run the Baroda Cricket Association (BCA).
Former Test players Anshuman Gaekwad and Kiran More have been calling for elections to be conducted, but the current regime spearheaded by Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) secretary Sanjay Patel is keen to complete them in September, the month of the BCCI elections. Patel is secretary of the BCA.

The group led by the erstwhile India stalwarts reckon that the delay in BCA elections has something to do with BCCI elections. More and Gaekwad alongwith their group members urged BCA president Chirayu Amin to hold the elections.
“The finalisation of the BCA accounts is delayed,” Gaekwad stressed. Amin, a former IPL commissioner, promised members on Saturday that elections would be held soon. Former stumper More told SUNDAY MiD DAY: “Gone are the days when the association was smoothly-run.
Since the last few years, the office bearers have not attended to issues well. Members are not getting convincing answers and this is worrying for Baroda cricket.” It is learnt that Amin too is unhappy about the state of affairs.
