The German midfielder set up superb goals for Theo Walcott and Olivier Giroud to help Arsenal, which haven't won the title since 2004, secure their third consecutive win, the Daily Express reported.
Ozil provided his 14th and 15th assist of the season as Arsenal held a commanding 2-0 lead in first-half stoppage time.
Although Yaya Toure pulled one back for City in the 82nd minute, it was too late for them to score an equaliser.
