Argentina football great Diego Maradona, 57, has reportedly presented an engagement ring to Rocio Oliva for her 28th birthday, more than four years after he proposed to her in Rome. Maradona presented the ring to her at party in Buenos Aires, where she said yes in front of the select guests. Later, the guests celebrated the occasion with champagne and a performance by Argentinian singer El Polaco, reported British tabloid, The Sun.

Apparently, after Maradona gifted Oliva the ring, her mother Monica and Maradona's daughter Jana burst into tears of joy. "I am happy because this is my last birthday as a single woman and I can share it with all of you. My wishes for today and forever are to be happy with Diego, for my mother and grandmother Chiche to live forever and everyone I love to stay healthy," Oliva told the guests.

Maradona met Oliva in 2012 after he divorced his first wife Claudia Villafane in 2003 after 17 years of marriage. Though Maradona asked Oliva to marry him in 2014, it took him four more years to make it official. The wedding date seems near.
