If you walk past Symphony theatre on MG Road, (which is not a great walk anymore due to the metro work in progress), you will ncounter this new Italian coffee retail chain called Caffe Pascucci SPA with a bright red board outside. Don't judge the place by its sleek Italian interiors; this cafu00c3u00a9 is definitely value for money.
The all-white leather sofas beckon one to relax and sip a hot cappuccino. Caffe Pascucci's menu is wide and its product range is exhaustive. One can taste the traditionalu00a0 espresso or have it with cream, mousse, coconut or chocolate. If you're a tea fanatic, then there's a range of hot and iced teas as well. The menu has a true Italian feel when it comes to food, from freshly-made Italian salads and sandwiches, lasagne and piadina (thin Italian flatbread with stuffing) to a wide range of homemade pastas. But probably what scores here is Pascucci's exclusive blend, consisting of a range of coffee beans sourced from many countries across the globe and roasted in an ultra modern roasting plant, in Montecerignone. The recipes are a result of continuous research by a team of dedicated coffee experts. The menu is updated on a regular basis. Pascucci's coffees and chocolate drinks are unique in taste and consistency, especially the Pas-ciocks.
What will keep me going back to the place is their three-course Italian meal of a salad, main course and dessert, all for Rs 149 for vegetarian and Rs 179 for non-vegetarian, which is a steal. The salad is crunchy and a great way to start a healthy Italian meal. The non-veg version has chicken and cheese with bruschettes topped with tomatoes. The main course is a choice of pasta (penne, spaghetti, fussilli or gnocchi) with a choice of tomato and basil sauce or a creamy sauce. End your set meal with a big glass of fruits topped with ice-cream. Apart from the set meal, there are also plenty of options like polenta squares, lasagne, Italian sandwiches, piadinas, herb-crumbed chicken and a special menu just for the kids, apart from a whole range of yummy ice-creams.
