A hijack threat call delayed the departure of a Jet Airways flight from here to Bangalore this afternoon.
A hoax call about a flight being hijacked delayed a Jet Airways flight at Mumbai airport on Monday.

Sources confirmed to MiD DAY that the anonymous caller was the same person who gave a similar hoax call on May 7th.
Jet Airways' 9W 2105 Mumbai-Bangalore-Mumbai flight, which had 45 passengers on board, was ready for final takeoff when the officials decided to deplane passengers after a hoax call of an alleged hijack was received.
“All formalities related to departure of flight 2105 were completed but the flight could not take off due to a hoax call claiming possible hijack. Security officials were rushed to the spot and passengers were frisked before being deplaned as a security measure,” sources at Mumbai airport informed this newspaper.
“He (the caller) was identified as the same one who gave a similar hoax call of hijack during May,” sources further revealed. The caller had revealed his identity as Vikash Yadav.
On May 7, the caller had identified himself as Vikash Yad, sources further revealed. On May 7, Jet Airways 9W483 Mumbai-Bangalore flight was delayed for over two hours after an anonymous hijack threat call.
Sources further added that security agencies are currently investigating the matter and efforts are being made to track the caller following the details of call received. The rescheduled departure of flight 2105 is likely to happen after 7.30 pm Monday.u00a0
