Sita has weighty issues

These gods are for real. They too grow old and heavy

It was a matter of a few kilos that made Shivangi Sharma become Kaikeyi, Lord Ram's mother, instead of Sita, his wife.

Hardly in her mid-twenties, Bareilly girl Sharma comes across as an affable and fun loving person who plays the not so loved character in the Ramlila at the Subhash grounds. The social worker who works for National Aids Control Organisation in Hardwar says that 'acting is in her blood' as she has been acting since childhood.

The pretty lass had started of by playing Sita but had to switch over to Ram's mother after putting on weight.

She coyly admitted: "I am in the process of losing weight so that I can play Sita again. Till then I am happy being Kaikeyi, who I believe was not a bad woman at all"

Hey Ram

This one's a well-educated Ram. 29-year-old Madhusudan Upadhay might be a tad overage to play Ram at the Nav Shri Dharmik Ramlila at Red Fort but that in no way undermines his charm.u00a0 An alumnus of one of the best B-schools in Ghaziabad, Upadhyay now works as a branch manager for one of the firms in Moradabad, UP. "It is plain passion and devotion that helps me perform every year."
