Never-ending party on Brigade Road

January 1 saw people flocking to Brigades and MGs all day long

It looked like Bangaloreans were not yet ready to hang up their dancing shoes. A day after the New Year's eve celebrations, Brigade Road and M G Road were still packed with people wanting to keep the celebrations going.

This year's celebration was dubbed peaceful.u00a0 "The celebrations went on till 1.30 in the morning. Everything went on fine and in a peaceful manner. There was no report of any mishaps or accidents. Security was doubled, there were six cameras to monitor the streets", said Suhail Yusuff, secretary of the Brigade's Shops' and Establishments' Association.

Suhail said though revellers started coming in a bit later, the numbers did increase to the usual level as every year.

But some others felt numbers had dwindled. Maybe because some people decided to have a day do on January 1.
