Two cars catch fire in west Delhi

Two cars caught fire in the Subhash Nagar area of west Delhi on Monday night. The first incident was reported around 2 am when a car on its way to Ajay enclave area in Subhash Nagar caught fire while the second occurred in the same area ten minutes later.

No body suffered injuries in both the incidents.

In the first incident Ajay Kumar, 26, was on his way home driving his Maruti Alto car when he spotted smoke emanating from the bonnet. He stopped the car and soon flames erupted. Ajay escaped unhurt and passerby helped him to douse the fire.

A taxi was involved in the second incident. It occurred when taxi driver Vinay was on his way to the airport. He spotted smoke coming out of his car's bonnet. He stopped the car and immediately came out of it. He then shouted for help but it was minor fire and was controlled by the people who arrived on the spot hearing his cries for help.
